Hi I am new to Tig and just set myself up with a 200A inverter unit.
I am practicing on thin mild steel and progressing OK. Using minimum amps and 5 L/m gas flow.
I bought a very small refillable cylinder (size C?) supposedly 600 L of gas. By my calculation that gives me 600/5 = 120 minutes of welding. However I seem to run out after a couple of hours practice (of course not continuous welding !). Should I be looking for a leak, or are the cheap flow gauges dodgy, or is my calculation not applicable for some reason?
Thanks, Derek.
