Hi guys
A new member here, I have been looking into getting into welding as a profession. I am in my late 30's and have welding experience in my background. Basic steel welding is part of my mechanical trade qualifications.
I can stick weld and flux core weld on light steel (between 1.6 and 8mm mild steel) with fairly good quality welds appearance wise. No xray testing or the like. Any position is ok too.
I am looking to do some training at a college to attain some qualifications and possibly a coded welder certificate. I don't have the exact courses yet as I am required to pass the pre requisite courses first. Early days.
Can anyone offer some advice on the better way to go about this change of career direction?
