Hey fellow wire burners, heres a question. Can I do a full pen T joint with a strengthening fillet on the back and thereby qualify a procedure as a full pen and fillet? Better yet, if I do a single run fillet on the beck and a multi run fillet on the front, does that qualify as a full pen and a single + multi pass fillet?
Hi SiS
the best approach is to do three different WPSs
a T Fillet with a backing run
a single run and a multi
from my experience what you are proposing will give you grief later down the track when these are presented to clients for review
In my opinion doing a fillet over a FPBW is different to welding plate to plate, and burning the root out is a different kettle of fish as well
