You guys, pls, don't get angry with a question of a clueless person. Never worked with/according to the AS codes before… But, all of a sudden, the potential customer requires all the welds to be in accordance with the AS 1554.1 SP. I rushed to find something in the Internet and found free downloadable AS/NZS 1554.1.
How identical are those two standards in terms of the 6;10 mm fillet welds and 3-12 mm (mainly 6 mm) thicknesses? May I use AS/NZS 1554.1 instead of AS 1554.1 to gain some insight so far at the initial step, at least?
And I am aware of structural purpose category…
Your kind attention to my question is much appreciated.
Hi,
Same code, we just get lazy and forget the Kiwi’s and drop the ‘NZS’ part
Ha ha

Thanks a lot!
