Hey
up to 30 on wages and 50 or 60 on contract if they are good
Have good one
Where I am, Latrobe Valley in Victoria, welders on fulltime wages are on around $37 an hour, casual welders add 25% to this.
Thanks for the Feedback Cassgazz
sounds like the latrobe is humming, is the latrobe mainly power gen work?

Majority of the work is in the power stations. We have 3 large stations – Loy Yang A & B, Yallourn & Hazelwood, as well as a few smaller ones – Energy Brix and Jeralang. Also have Maryvale Mill which is paper manufacturing plant, and also have a reasonably new water treatment plant. Quite a bit of workshop work that supports these plants as well.
I did forget to add that these wages are on union represented sites and workshops. There are also other worksops where pay is considerably lower.
Just outside the valley, in Wonthaggi, a large desalination plant is being constucted by Thiess. This will be the highest paying job in Victoria from what I’ve heard. Trades people should be able to gross $150,000+ per year.

Gary
